Miley Cyrus wrote about her deepening “admiration” for Beyoncé after collaborating with her on the Cowboy Cartertrack “II Most Wanted.”

On social media, Cyrus raved about Bey and the duet, saying, “I’ve loved Beyoncé since long before I had the opportunity to meet & work with her. My admiration runs so much deeper now that I’ve created along side of her”

She went on to thank Beyoncé — “You’re my everything & more” — as well as “everyone who spent time making this song so special.”

“II Most Wanted” is a classic partners-in-crime anthem that strikes a potent balance between back porch country and more Fleetwood Mac-style pop rock. “I’ll be your shotgun rider til the day I die,” Beyoncé and Cyrus sing together on the chorus. “We’re getting high til we don’t realize time is passing by/Yeah, I’ll be your backseat baby, I’m driving you crazy/Anytime you like.”

While “II Most Wanted” marks the first time Beyoncé and Cyrus have collaborated in the studio, the latter recalled in a TikTok last year their performance together at a 2008 concert benefitting cancer research. The pair were part of a supergroup that also comprised Carrie Underwood, Mary J. Blige, and more, and Cyrus was placed between Beyoncé and Rihanna. “They treated me like a little sister the entire time,” she remembered. “They’re really sweet.”

Cyrus is one of several guests on Cowboy Carter, which also features Post Malone (“Levii’s Jeans”), Shaboozey (“Spaghettii,” “Sweet Honey Buckin”), and Willie Jones (“Just for Fun”). A trio of country legends — Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and Linda Martell — provide interlude narration, while additional contributors include Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Rhiannon Giddens, Robert Randolph, Raphael Saadiq, and Justin Schipper.
