Call of Duty: MW3 and Warzone Adding 2 New Weapons

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone will receive two exciting new weapons in the upcoming Season 2 Reloaded update, which launches on March 6. Like previous seasonal updates, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 2 Reloaded will offer in-game challenges that players may complete to earn new weapons for free.

The new Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 2 Reloaded update will be one of the biggest updates yet for both games, with new maps, Aftermarket Parts, new seasonal events, and more. New Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Dune: Part Two, and Warhammer 40,000 operator bundles are another major highlight of Season 2 Reloaded. Players will also have access to two new weapons and several new weapon camos by completing new challenges.

Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players will be able to complete new challenges to earn the Soulrender melee weapon and the SOA Subverter battle rifle when Season 2 Reloaded launches. The Soulrender is a ceremonial sword with unique slashing modes, which activates while using the aim and fire buttons. Using the aim button will let players unleash rapid slashing attacks, and holding the fire button prepares a heavy slash that can deal major damage. Players may earn the Soulrender and its new Omnigenesis weapon camo by completing a set of new in-game challenges, including ones from the new mid-season sector of the Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 2 Battle Pass.

The new SOA Subverter is a battle rifle that fires 7.62 caliber rounds and excels in mid-to-long ranges, due to the rifle's low fire rate and predictable recoil. Despite the lower fire rate, the SOA Subverter still has the highest fire rate in its class, and its damage is enough to take down enemies in three to four shots without armor plates. The SOA Subverter may be acquired by completing a new weekly challenge, and Call of Duty players can earn Fjord, Tidepool, and Dopamine weapon camos by completing challenges specific to the new battle rifle. With the right attachment setup, the SOA Subverter may become a new favorite among the best battle rifles in Modern Warfare 3.

Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players will likely strive to obtain the SOA Subverter more than the Soulrender, since the battle rifle could prove to be very powerful in the current meta. However, the Soulrender can still be a deadly weapon for players that are skilled at swiftly closing in on enemies in multiplayer. Warzone's new point of interest in Season 2 Reloaded may see players test out the new weapons in exciting gunfights, before changing back to loadouts they're more familiar with.
