Sydney Trains: Major delays this morning after worker falls onto the tracks

Sydney is facing major commuter chaos this morning on the train network.
A train guard fell onto the tracks from the cabin of a moving train about 6:00am on Friday near Burwood Station in the city's Inner West.
The T9 Northern Line, T2 Inner West and Leppington lines are significantly impacted by the incident with delays of up to 40 minutes.

Trains were shut down while the woman was treated and transferred to hospital, with the incident causing delays of up to 40 minutes on multiple train lines
The female guard was treated on the scene for leg injuries and has been transported to hospital by paramedics where she is in a stable condition.
'Allow extra travel time due to an incident requiring emergency services at Burwood,' Sydney Trains said on X, formerly Twitter.
'Trains may stop on platforms or between stations for longer than normal while the incident is ongoing.
