Sydney's rail network has been thrown into chaos after a teenage boy fell off a train.
Emergency services were called to the railway line between St Peters and Sydenham stations early Tuesday morning after a boy aged in his mid teens was found on the tracks suffering from serious head injuries.
Daily Mail Australia understands that the boy fell off a train.
He was rushed to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious condition.
The incident has caused major disruptions to the T3 Bankstown Line, T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line, and SCO South Coast Line.
'Some trains will be stopped at platforms while this incident is ongoing. Delay travel if possible or consider using other nearby public transport services,' a Sydney Trains alert stated.

Photos supplied to Daily Mail Australia show dozens of commuters on the platform at Sydenham waiting for announcements.
A train can also be seen 200m further down the tracks, surrounded by emergency services, including a medical retrieval ambulance crew.
Commuters at Sydenham heading into the city had to board a train to Wolli Creek and switch services there.
'It was chaotic, the platforms were packed and nobody knew what to do,' commuter Steve told Daily Mail Australia.
'Some people chose to get on the buses at the bus stands and some others were jumping on and off trains not knowing if the train they were on was going to move.'

Replacement buses were organised to run between Redfern and Sydenham, while a shuttle train service will run between Hurstville and Cronulla.
Commuters are urged to allow extra travel time as trains will be stopping at different platforms and may be delayed, while stops may change at short notice.
'The incident requiring emergency services is now over, and trains are now able to run between Sydenham and Redfern again,' the latest alert states.
'Trains should be on the move soon. However, there will be flow on delays as we work to restore trains back to normal running.'
