The Lions are hungry to put right the wrongs of their first four weeks, and North Melbourne are in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is turning into a belting, and if Brisbane keep up their level this margin could end up anything.

The stats look awful for North. Brisbane lead the inside 50s 40-13. The disposal count is 201 to 133 in the Lions' favour — of those 133 North disposals, 40 have led to turnovers.

It's been a significant step back for the Roos, who have otherwise seemed an improved side so far this year. Harry Sheezel is winning lots of the ball, but it's easy stuff in defence with no real hurt-factor. Colby McKercher and Zane Duursma have had some bright moments, but made some shocking errors too. Tristan Xerri is more than holding his own in the ruck but it's not helping North in the clearances.

You don't want to be too tough on a young North Melbourne team, but this has been hard to watch.
