While Jannik Sinner has been seen in public with his model girlfriend Maria Braccini, the publicity-shy Italian has yet to appear at one of her boyfriend’s matches in Melbourne.

For context, Sinner rarely has members of his family in his player’s box supporting him and usually only has his team members along for company.

He has also been very private about his relationship with Braccini and will rarely volunteer any sort of information about her or their private life together.

Braccini did turn up at Wimbledon when Sinner made a run to the semi-finals but might not be able to make the long haul to Australia in time to be there to support her man.

She came to Wimbledon for the second week of action but the couple were most recently seen in public together watching an AC Milan football match in November 2023.

Despite having a brilliant job that brings her into the public eye, Braccini readily admits that she is not a people person and that she enjoys a peaceful existence and identifies as an introvert.

Sinner has been really positive about his partner, saying that even if she has an elevated level of independence, she is a really kind person.

For the tenth time in their careers, Daniil Medvedev and Jannik Sinner will square off when they contest the Australian Open final.

Medvedev will come into the match with a 6-3 lead in the head-to-head and with his wife and baby girl standing by to support him in his battle with the young Italian.

Sinner was born in San Candido, Italy, on August 16, 2001. His family comes from the northern Italian region of South Tyrol. Both of Jannik’s parents, Johann and Siglinde Sinner, have an amateur skiing background and are avid skiers. Before her son took up tennis, Siglinde taught skiing and Johann was a lumberjack. With his older brother Dennis and his older sister Magdalena, Jannik is the youngest of three children.

When Sinner started playing tennis on neighbourhood courts with his father at an early age, he developed a passion for the game. He quickly showed his gift for the sport and started competing in Italian youth competitions.

Sinner is out to become the first Italian to win a Grand Slam since Flavia Penetta defeated Roberta Vinci in an all-Italian US Open final in 2015.

Sinner would be the first man to lift a Grand Slam trophy for Italy since 1976 when Adriano Panatta won the French Open title.

He is already the first Italian man to win an ATP Masters tournament.

Tune in to the Australian Open men’s singles final to find out if Sinner can end the long wait and to check out whether Braccini makes the trip.
