Players inside the San Francisco 49ers locker room know they wouldn't be playing in Super Bowl 58 without their gutsy second-year quarterback, Brock Purdy, helming the offense. At a mere 24 years old, Purdy has swiftly established himself as a commanding leader, exuding the poise of a seasoned veteran within the pocket.

In a recent conversation with SiriusXM NFL Radio, tight end George Kittle shared his insights on what distinguishes their young quarterback and what has helped Purdy's rapid NFL ascension.

"When you see this guy show up every single day, the way he's done it since he was drafted, just shows up the same time, he does the same things, he's had a routine," Kittle said. "He's just very mature and he understands. I think Brock has just been in a position where he understands his opportunity and how awesome an opportunity he has, and I think he was just ready for his opportunity.

"And he's one of those people that he goes, 'Once I get my opportunity, I'm not going to let it go.' And you have to have that mindset, and I think he's had that mindset for a long time and that's one of the reasons he's successful."

Purdy amassed 4,280 passing yards this season, setting a new franchise single-season record. He stands on the brink of potentially becoming the second-youngest quarterback to triumphantly hoist the Lombardi Trophy in celebration.

Kittle concluded, "The guy's a baller, but I've seen that for quite a while."

This year's Super Bowl Opening Night featuring the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs was as big of a spectacle as the event has ever been, complete with mini-parades introducing each team, a barrage of questions about Taylor Swift, and the majority of the 23,000 fans in attendance serenading the Chiefs with boos when they attempted to answer questions from the event MC. As always, Super Bowl Opening Night served as a light-hearted introduction to each team, with players addressing a number of not-so-serious
