Modern Warfare 3 week 5 weekly challenges and how to complete them

Weekly challenges in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are a great way to earn XP quickly. Whether you’re grinding for your account level, battle pass rewards, or for the weekly challenge rewards, it’s worth knowing what you’ll need to do to finish each one. For week 5, the challenges are fairly simple, and the reward is definitely worth your time.

How to complete the week 5 weekly challenges

Week 5’s weekly challenges include a few different weapons to use, like a fully automatic battle rifle. The most time consuming will probably be backstabs and longshot kills. Both of these require precise killing, which is ruined if someone moves at the last second. A good way to complete them is by playing in small map playlists (Das Haus 24/7 is currently active), and building your loadout specifically for completing each challenge.

1. 15 operator kills with a recommended battle rifle set to full auto. To complete this challenge, equip a BR marked as ‘recommended’ in your loadout creator. Then flip it to fully automatic, which can be done with the press of a button. It should appear at the bottom of your screen while playing with a small image of a few bullets vs. a single bullet. Check your controls in settings if you’re still unsure.
2. 10 operator melee backstab kills. This challenge is self-explanatory, but it’ll be much easier if you build a loadout around it. Covert Sneakers will be essential for sneaking up behind unsuspecting enemies. Make sure your knife goes directly into their back for it to count.
3. 15 operator quickscope kills with the JAK Glassless Optic equipped to a recommended weapon.Equip a recommended weapon, marked as such, as your loadout. To use the JAK Glassless Optic, you’ll need to unlock it by completing five weekly challenges from week 4. Then, just press your aim-down-sights button followed by firing your weapon immediately to quick scope. This will be easiest with a marksman or sniper rifle.
4. 15 operator longshot kills with a suppressed recommended battle rifle. The biggest challenge for this one is finding the right distance. Most likely, you’ll have to stick with regular sized multiplayer maps. Find a spot where you can watch a high-traffic area from a good distance away, and take out as many enemies as you can with a BR using a suppressor.
5. 20 operator kills with the Tyrant 762 Kit equipped to the Longbow. The most difficult part of this challenge is getting the conversion kit unlocked in the first place. Once you’ve got it, just use it on the Longbow and play the game. You should earn 20 kills in a match or two. The conversion kit is unlockable by completing any five week 1 weekly challenges.
6. 20 operator kills with the JAK Maglift Mod equipped to the Haymaker. Like the previous challenge, this is a simple one once the mod is unlocked. To get it, just finish five weekly challenges from the list of week 3 challenges. Once you have it, equip it to the Haymaker and start firing.
7. 20 operator double kills with the Holger 556. Simple enough, you’ll just have to get two quick kills in succession 20 different times. This doesn’t have to be completed in a single match, so don’t stress too much. If you use the Holger 556, especially in Das Haus 24/7, the average player should finish this challenge fairly easily.

Week 5 challenges unlock a new weapon: SOA Subverter battle rifle

For the fifth week of season 2’s weekly challenges, a weapon is the reward. Complete any five of the above challenges for the week and you’ll unlock the brand new SOA Subverter battle rifle. We doubt it’s going to be a meta weapon just yet. But it never hurts in the world of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to have every weapon unlocked and leveled. You never know when there will be a meta shift, a broken attachment, or something else you need immediately.

Additionally, completing your week 5 challenges will get you one step closer to the Rotten Inferno seasonal weapon camo. It’s unlocked by completing five challenges for every week of the entire season.
