Coronavirus
WHO has launched a new network for coronaviruses, CoViNet, to facilitate and coordinate global expertise and capacities for early and accurate detection, monitoring and assessment of SARS-CoV-2, MERS-CoV and novel coronaviruses of public health importance.
Global Network for Coronaviruses
CoViNet aims to bring together scientists, researchers, and health professionals from around the world to share knowledge and resources in the fight against coronaviruses. By collaborating and pooling resources, the network will help to improve our understanding of these viruses and develop more effective strategies for prevention and control.
Early Detection and Monitoring
Early detection and monitoring of coronaviruses are crucial in preventing outbreaks and controlling the spread of these viruses. With CoViNet, WHO hopes to enhance global surveillance efforts and ensure that countries are better prepared to respond to future threats posed by coronaviruses.
