Final Dune Plan Of The Director!
Denis Villeneuve has proved his craftsmanship with his movies (Dune, Sicario, Blade Runner 2049 and more) and needs no introduction for his work style. The Canadian filmmaker had rarely compromised over the grandness of his canvas and has been safe from the clutches of franchise movies that would hold him down to a single place.
Only a month until Dune: Part Two hits theatres worldwide and takes us through the rest of Paul Atreides’ journey. Naturally, the talks for a new Dune movie are going around, given Frank Herbert wrote six novels and only the first book has been adapted (Dune parts one and two).
Talking about his future projects, Villeneuve wants to make another Dune movie, Dune: Messiah, the sequel to Dune. He also clarified that ‘Dune: Messiah’ will be his last Dune movie if it gets the green light.
Among other projects, Villeneuve wants to adapt Stacy Schiff’s “Cleopatra” and Arthur C. Clarke’s “Rendezvous With Rama”.
Dune: Part Two is coming to the theatres in India on 15 March 2024.
