Grimes Speaks Out After Ex-Partner Elon Musk Brings Their Son to ...

Musician and producer Grimes made a rare comment involving her ex-partner and father to her three kids, Elon Musk, after their 4-year-old son appeared alongside the tech mogul turned government hatchet man at the White House on Wednesday.
At a press conference inside the Oval Office, Trump signed an executive order that is designed to guide federal agencies on Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Musk and his team, under Trump’s direction, have been entering government agencies, combing through books, and instructing civil servants to find ways to reduce government spending and cut out any dead weight. Musk claimed DOGE has discovered “billions and billions of dollars in waste, fraud and abuse.”

As Musk spoke of his recent work for the government and the pain it has brought to thousands of civil servants, he brought along his young son, named X Æ A-Xii, whom they call “X.” The young child spent the duration of the presser climbing on his dad, whispering to Trump and shoving his finger in Musk’s ears as he spoke of drastic and devastating reductions of the workforce at government agencies.
None of this seemed to please Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Bouche. She responded on X (formerly known as Twitter) to a person who’d posted about her son’s White House moment and thought he was a well-behaved little boy.
“He should not be in public like this,” Grimes tweeted. “I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”
The 36-year-old Canadian singer and 53-year-old’s May-December relationship lasted from 2018-22. They share three children: X Æ A-Xii, 3-year-old daughter Exa Dark Sideræl and 2-year-old son Tau Techno Mechanicus. Though Grimes typically remains quiet on Musk’s many antics, she did recently speak on the viral moment that was interpreted as Musk giving a Nazi salute at Trump’s inauguration parade amid online backlash about her silence.
“It’s absurd that someone can be this canceled for something their ex did before they even heard it happened,” Grimes wrote on X (which, incidentally, is owned by Musk). “I am not him. I will not make a statement every time he does something. I can only send love back into a world that is hurting … to be clear I could go talk s— and be on a bunch of magazine covers and be a feminist hero and get clout – but it would serve no purpose. I choose my children’s wellbeing.”
