The competition at both ends of the Premier League table continues to bubble and it looks like both battles could go right down to the wire this season. Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal remain locked in a fierce title fight — the Gunners are eager to avenge last season's heartbreak and the Reds are determined to give Jurgen Klopp the perfect sendoff before he bids farewell to Anfield.

Full focus is on how well each club can do come the end of the season but after that, the chaos of the summer transfer window awaits. Teams will be looking to recruit exciting new players to aid their missions next season but there are also a lot of potential departures to consider as well.

Let's dive into some of the latest headlines on the transfer rumour mill as this nail-biting Premier League season continues to twist and turn.

Liverpool learn Salah conditions

Saudi Arabia's heavy interest in Mohamed Salah was one of the leading narratives of the 2023 summer transfer window, and while the Egyptian chose to remain at Anfield, the headlines are once again focused on his future. Right now, Liverpool have just two options — convince Salah to sign a new contract or sell him at the end of the season while they can still command a decent fee.

Most fans would agree that keeping Salah is the better option and this may actually be more likely than initially thought. According to Football Insider, the winger is 'happy to stay at Liverpool beyond the summer transfer window' but on two conditions. Ahead of a huge transition period as Klopp prepares to leave, Salah reportedly 'wants assurances over the club's future plans' and wants to know who the Reds intend to replace Klopp with.

The 3AM Verdict: If all it takes to keep Salah at Liverpool is some clarity on where the club is heading post-Klopp, that's one of the best deals you will probably ever come across during a summer transfer window. Losing Salah seemed inevitable after Saudi Arabia's initial interest but with Klopp announcing his departure, it seemed that would be the nudge to seal both icons' futures away from Anfield. This new revelation could be gargantuan for Liverpool and, goalscoring status aside, keeping players like Salah despite Klopp leaving will send a huge statement out to rivals and other potential transfer targets.

Arsenal 'willing to sell' £60m star

Arsenal could be looking at a busy summer as they prepare to not only recruit new talent, but potentially offload some senior players of their own as well. One man who is considered to be in the 'for sale' bracket is Emile Smith Rowe.

According to GiveMeSport, the Gunners 'are willing to sell' the midfielder at the end of the season, providing a 'suitable offer' is put on the table. The 23-year-old is 'desperate' to remain at the Emirates and prove himself, and while Mikel Arteta is not actively looking to cash in on Smith Rowe, the club are confident they can demand 'decent money' as they look to restructure their squad.

TEAMtalk reported back in October that Arsenal had valued Smith Rowe in the £60 million region, following the mega money sales of the likes of Declan Rice and Mason Mount.

The 3AM Verdict: It's always tough when a player genuinely wants to stay and fight for his place in a team but sadly it seems like Smith Rowe's time at Arsenal is coming to a close. The midfielder enjoyed two seasons where he was getting regular time on the pitch but he has since fallen out of favour again and has started just two Premier League games in the last two terms. At 23, he should be at the heart of a team's midfield and despite his commitment to Arsenal, they cannot offer him the starting role he should be in at this age.

Chelsea eyeing £30m player sale

Chelsea could be on the brink of receiving a nice £30 million boost towards their Financial Fair Play profit as Lewis Hall looks set to join Newcastle United on a full-time deal. Fabrizio Romano has reported that the left-back's loan spell with the Magpies is expected to 'become permanent soon' and it's 'just a matter of time' before the deal is over the line.

Newcastle view Hall as a player for their long-term project and Chelsea reportedly 'have no doubts' over receiving a £30 million for the 19-year-old's signature.

The 3AM Verdict: Any profit is welcome profit in this day and age and Chelsea will welcome the sale of a player like Hall as they look to balance their books and raise funds for a potential summer spree. Hall has come through the U18 and U23 levels at Stamford Bridge but has had limited time with the senior team. With Eddie Howe identifying Hall as a player for his future plans, the rising star needs to be at a club where he is part of the vision, and with Chelsea's stacked squad, it's highly unlikely he will get that in a blue shirt. Everyone involved in this deal will be benefitting in some way.
