Palworld: All Base Upgrades
Upgrading your Base Level in Palworld is the key to setting up self-sufficient bases and production lines. One of the most important ingredients in Palworld is ore and stone, which are used for pretty much half of all the crafting and base building. With a mix of partner skills and mining levels, pals can help shorten the time needed swinging away with your pickaxe.
8 Tombat
Paldeck No. 068
Tombat is a mix between a cat and a bat and is mostly active at night. Its partner skill is called Ultrasonic Sensor, allowing it to ping nearby pals when activated. Although it won't help you mine ores in the wild, it is best used for mining stone and ore at your base.
This is because it has both level two in mining and transporting, allowing it to quickly grind down stone and carry it to whatever storage it can reach. However, this does make it less useful mining at a stone pit, as there won't be anything to carry.
7 Fuddler
Paldeck No. 022
Fuddler is a short and stubby pal with massive claws and is best for keeping in your party while you search for ores and stone in the wild. This is because of its partner skill, Ore Detector, which pings nearby ore deposits on your minimap.
You can also set it to work on your base because it has a level in both mining and transporting, meaning you can have it join the line of pals in the stone pit if you don't have acces to higher mining levels.
6 Mammorest
Paldeck No. 090
A giant mammoth you've probably noticed wandering just outside the initial spawn, Mammorest is an excellent pal for both keeping in your party or setting to work on your base. With two levels in mining, planting, and lumbering, it's almost indispensable despite its size.
Palworld: Achievement/Trophy Guide
Here's how to get every Steam and Xbox achievement in Palworld. However, because of its partner skill, Gaia Crusher, it is most efficient after you craft a saddle and manually attack stone and ore deposits. This can be frustrating in rockier locations, but in flatter areas, Mammorest is one of the best pals for manual mining.
5 Rushoar
Paldeck No. 020
An early level pal and easy to catch, Rushoar is basically just a boar who is great for mining, specifically stone. Despite Rushoar only having a mining level of one, you can ride it to increase the efficiency of attacking stone deposits.
Although it doesn't break ore any faster, you can still attack it and save having to repair your pickaxe if you're low on ingots. It also doesn't require as much food as other pals on this list and is much easier to catch enough until you find a useful trait.
4 Penking
Paldeck No. 011
A large penguin with a sailor's cap, Penking is a water and ice pal with a surprising amount of base utility, which includes mining. With two levels in watering, handiwork, cooling, transporting, and mining, it's easy for Penking to fill multiple rolls.
For specifically mining, it's best to put Penking in a base with open rock so that it can both mine and transport quickly. The only problem with it is that it requires a large amount of food and can be hard to find in the wild.
3 Quivern
Paldeck No. 095
Quivern is a large, white dragon that can be flown as a mount and is excellent for open deposit base mining. Because it is one of the few pals with transporting three, it can quickly empty the ground of loose rocks after using mining 2 to clear the space.
Palworld: Most Important Technology To Research
All this technology will be a great help to you in Palworld.Unfortunately, like Penking, Quivern can be both hard to find and catch, which makes attempting to find one with a trait that boosts work speed a grind. Although, with its mining skill, you can also just have it join the line on the stone pit.
2 Reptyro
Paldeck No. 088
Resembling a flaming tortoise, Reptyro is one of the two pals best suited for mining. Like Mammorest and Rushoar, you can hitch a saddle to it and manually attack wild ore deposits to quickly and efficiently grind them to dust.
Reptyro will require at least a Giga Sphere to catch, and is located in Mount Obsidian.
It also has a level three in mining, but no levels in transporting, which means you should prioritize making it dig at a stone pit when you need a lot of stone. However, when riding, it won't increase the efficiency of attacking stone.
1 Digtoise
Paldeck No. 067
Digtoise, also resembling a tortoise, is the best pal for mining ore and stone both in the wild and at your base. The main reason is because of its partner skill, Drill Crusher, which turns it into a mobile drill, automatically attack stone and ore.
You can find Digtoise in either the Twilight Dunes or the Dessicated Desert.
This allows you to both attack the deposit at the same time, retrieving the material much quicker than any of the mounted pals. It also is the only other pal with a three in mining, allowing you to drop it off at the stone pit alongside Reptyro.
