It was sold nationally both in store and online from December 28 last year until January 16 this year, when it was quietly removed from shelves.
The product does not comply with the mandatory information standard for products containing button or coin batteries, as it does not include the required warning information.
As a result, consumers may not be aware that the product contains a button battery.
There is a risk of choking, severe internal burn injuries or death to young children if they gain access to the button or coin batteries and swallow or place them inside their body.
Severe or fatal injuries can happen in two hours or less.
Consumers should keep the product out of children’s reach, and should contact Kmart for the relevant warning information.
For more information, consumers can contact Kmart Customer Service on 1800 124 125 on Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm AEST, or visit Kmart’s website.
