Teddi Mellencamp of 'Real Housewives' Has Multiple Brain Tumors ...

Teddi Mellencamp, former cast member of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," has revealed that after struggling with severe headaches for weeks, she's been diagnosed with multiple brain tumors. The reality star has undergone surgery for the condition, according to her Instagram account.
Mellencamp — who has been open with fans about her health journey over the years, including several surgeries to treat melanoma — shared about her brain tumors on Instagram on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
The 43-year-old uploaded a statement that read: “For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization.”
“After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months,” she continued.
Mellencamp added she was undergoing surgery shortly to have two of the tumors removed. She explained that the smaller cysts will require radiation in the future.
“I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health. Thank you to everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey,” she concluded and added a red heart.
On her Instagram story, Mellencamp documented her stay in the hospital as she waited for her surgery to begin.
In her first post, she said she was waiting for her children to arrive. Mellencamp shares three children — Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4 — with husband Edwin Arroyave, whom she announced she was divorcing in November after 13 years of marriage. Arroyave is also a dad to daughter Isabella from a previous relationship.
Mellencamp then quoted her father, singer John Cougar Mellencamp. “As my dad said this am, god only gives hard stuff to those of us who can handle it. It’s a hard day but I have faith and amazing surgeons and know everything will be ok.”
In her next post, she uploaded a video of her preparing for surgery by having a friend shave her hair. “I’m going to have this look on my bucket list. My best look,” she said.

She showed off her shorter cut in the following Instagram story.
“Hate to break it to my brother but once I’m allowed to wash my hair and it’s not all spikey, I think I’ve taken you for a run for your money, Hud. I’ll see you tomorrow and we’ll see who did it better, who wore it best,” she said and tagged younger brother Hud Mellencamp, who recently appeared on the competition show “Claim to Fame.”
In her last post before surgery, she turned the camera around to show fellow “RHOBH” star Kyle Richards and more friends in her hospital room supporting her.
“Here we go. How many minutes? What’s the countdown?” she asked before multiple people said she had 10 minutes until the surgery started.
Mellencamp’s news about her brain tumors comes about a week after she shared an Instagram photo of a scar from her melanoma surgeries — that extended from her shoulder and down her back — to recognize World Cancer Day.
“It’s #WorldCancerDay so I’d like to remind you to get your skin checks scheduled,” she wrote in the caption Feb. 4, in part.
Last year, Mellencamp announced that she no longer had any lingering skin cancer after having surgery.
“I got the final report back from my oncologist. ‘Final report is all good. Some atypical areas, but no melanoma,’” she updated fans on Instagram in January 2024.
She added, “I am forever grateful to my incredible doctors, nurses, family and friends. I absolutely will be diligent with my 3 month checkups. Please be the same with your skin checks.”
The wellness coach first spoke about her Stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in October 2022. Since then, she has continuously posted about her surgeries and recovery, estimating in September 2023 that she has had 12 or 13 melanomas pop up on her skin.
In September 2024, she needed to have surgery again for her 16th melanoma removal.
“Unfortunately they found a spot on my ear which is now being biopsied. Obviously, I am grateful for my team of doctors who continue to give me the most thorough care. But part of me just wants to scream, ‘When will this be over for good!?’” she said at the time.
Mellencamp said at the time she was looking forward to the day she can say she is “cancer-free.”
