Fortnite: How To Open Weapon Bunkers
There's nothing more important when dropping from the battle bus in Fortnite than obtaining a vast amount of loot. A player can only be as good as their loadout, and bringing in a fierce arsenal has never been more essential thanks to the debut of weapon mods and attachments in Fortnite, and with Chapter 5 Season 2, many new additions will threaten the player, from Olympian Bosses, new Medallions, and of course, brand-new weapons.
Fortnite: Chapter 5 Season 2 NPC Locations
Here is the location of all the NPCs on the Fortnite Battle Royale map.Whilst it may seem overwhelming to have this abundance of loot, there's one particular way to obtain it, all thanks to the Fortnite weapon bunkers that exist in fixed spawn points on the Chapter 5 Season 2 map. Weapon bunkers are a great new addition, rewarding players with great loot, but how exactly can players get into them to win?
All Weapon Bunker Locations
Thanks to fortnite.gg, players have an easy-to-digest map that showcases all weapon bunkers, to which they can find 9 of them as of the start of Chapter 5 Season 2. Weapon bunkers are scattered around the map, and they can always be found in the same location every round of the battle royale mode.
Here's the exact spots where players can find the 9 weapon bunkers:
- Weapon Bunker #1 – South of Fencing Fields
- Weapon Bunker #2 – South of Pleasant Piazza
- Weapon Bunker #3 – South-West of Grim Gate
- Weapon Bunker #4 – South-East of The Underworld
- Weapon Bunker #5 – West of Lavish Lair
- Weapon Bunker #6 – East of Lavis Lair
- Weapon Bunker #7 – South of Classy Court
- Weapon Bunker #8 – South of Reckless Railways
- Weapon Bunker #9 – North-East of Mount Olympus
How To Access Weapon Bunkers
Whilst weapon bunkers will spawn at the start of the game, they will have their entrances locked. Players cannot get inside, no matter what weapon they use. The bunker doors are impenetrable, and players will have to wait for them to open once the third storm circle forms, which will take nearly 10 minutes. Only around 6 of these bunkers will be accessible per match, and players will be able to tell by hearing an alarm, or by checking the map, in which they will see the alarm symbol marked in specific spots for bunkers that will open.
All Weapon Bunker Loot
Bunkers hold some fairly incredible loot once they are accessible. Not only are they great places to set up traps, since they dip underground with decent cover, but they also hold valued resources, including rare chests, which players might need to complete their weekly Snapshot quests. Perhaps the most enticing is the piles of gold, or even the Weapon Mod Bench, which allows players to add attachments to their guns for the price of Gold.
Here's a compilation of the loot that can be found in weapon bunkers:
- Piles of Gold Bars
- Rare Chests (usually 3)
- Weapon Cases
- Weapon Bench
